A total of 23 outstanding Congolese employees were honored with certificates of honor and prizes by Kambove Mining SAS (KMS), a second-tier holding subsidiary of China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. (CNMC), on July 5, 2025 local time.

KMS, which operates in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), held a commendation ceremony to recognize its model local workers for their exceptional performance in the first half of 2025.

The ceremony featured a summary of work achievements, heartfelt reflections from employees, and the presentation of certificates of honor and prizes—vividly demonstrating the company's core operational philosophy of "employees are the most valuable asset" and adding a warm footnote to the growing friendship between China and the DRC.

Li Chong, Chairman and President of KMS, extended congratulations and gratitude to the award recipients and their families. He emphasized that the company is committed to ensuring that all employees share in the fruits of development.

"From base salary increases to improved workplace conditions, every effort reflects our respect and care for our staff. We hope all employees feel valued and respected, enjoying a strong sense of belonging here," Li said.

He encouraged all employees to take their honors as a new starting point to march together toward KMS's brighter future, and in the meantime, contribute to a long-lasting China-DRC friendship through close ties built in the company.

Many awardees were excited about the company's recognition of their performances and contributions.

"Being named an outstanding employee not only represents recognition of my past efforts but serves as a motivation that drives me to be more rigorous, punctual, and self-disciplined in performing my role," said Tshiyangi Kasela Jonas, a representative of the outstanding employees. He is a safety officer in the health, safety and environment department of the company.

Yamwembo Mutuale Grace, a cafeteria manager in the external relations department, shared his

heartfelt gratitude: "I feel greatly honored to be part of a team that is trusted and able to deliver extraordinary achievements."

"I will do my utmost to fulfill my responsibilities and contribute more to the company's success," said Yamwembo, who has worked for KMS since its commissioning.

KMS has implemented a series of employee-centered initiatives since the beginning of this year.

In strict accordance with the tripartite agreement and national policies, the company has completed two rounds of base salary adjustments for all local employees, earnestly safeguarding their labor rights.

Meanwhile, KMS has steadily improved workplace conditions by constantly upgrading various services and facilities, from commuter buses and canteen to healthcare, providing all-around support for employees' work and daily life.

By holding this mid-year commendation event, KMS has not only saluted its outstanding Congolese employees, but also forged a powerful synergy featuring a sound enterprise-employee relationship and close coordination between Chinese and Congolese workers.
